Experience

I have been tutoring and teaching since I was in high school. I ensure that my students understand concepts verses mere memorization. I like to be interactive with them and try to find out what they enjoy in particular in the subject and then try to tackle different concepts from that. I work extra (with no additional cost) by always being available through email or text for any questions they would have. I repeatedly question students on concepts that are hard to grasp which is a technique where students will eventually understand after multiple reinforcement. 5 on AP Biology Exam A- in Genetics Honors Semester 1, A in Genetics Honors Semester 2, A in Cell Biology, A in Vertebrae Systems Physiology, A- in Physiology Lab, A in Anatomy, A in Anatomy Lab, and A in Biochemistry I was a member of Beta Beta Beta, a Biology Honors Society at the University of Texas at Austin. Through this organization, I have tutored students in Austin Highschools and UT students in biology. During my Undergraduate years, I have been a Teaching Assistant for anatomy and histology where I taught over 300 students anatomy and histology and lectured the class in substitute of the professor, collaborated with the professor to create exams and weekly lesson plans and held office hours and tutoring sessions for students in need of additional help In medical school, I educated over 100 students in different subjects such as medical histology, biochemistry, and physiology, tutored students individually who were in need of extra guidance, facilitated discussions of various topics with students to further their understanding of concepts and engaged them in cohesive peer-based studying. I graduated in 93rd percentile.
