Experience
I have ten years of experience as a tutor, paraprofessional and aide in public and private school settings. I enjoy participating in the learning process of my students because it's fascinating to see them solve problems. I am interested in the overlap between art, craft and science. The Maker Movement gives me a lot of hope. I tutor in graphic design and fiber art as well as 3D printing. I have taken courses at JCCC in Chemistry, Electronics, Metalsmithing, Psychology, and Spanish. My beaded artwork has been exhibited throughout the Midwest and as far as Australia. In 2007 I received a prestigious Charlotte Street Foundation Visual Artist Award of $10,000.
