Experience
I have over five years experience combined teaching at the K-12 and college level. I am currently a middle-school science teacher in the Kansas City area. My experience also includes being an academic adviser at the University of Missouri (MU) in Columbia where I counseled students on selecting a major, creating a four-year plan of study and to pursue internships compatible with their career goals. At MU, I also taught Health Sciences Seminar and Learning Strategies which included teaching students: study techniques, academic planning, professional development, time management, motivation, campus involvement, stress management and other academic related skills. I would like to work individually with students to help them excel at their academic goals. In addition to subject knowledge, I offer a friendly and supportive plan of action and customized advising approach to my tutoring. I'm also interested in working with students to decide which college is right for them and to help with admission essays.
